Happiness is such a broad term to explain. If you ask me, happiness means fulfilling my life long dreams. But happiness has a lot of definition and only you can choose which definition suits you.
I came across The Happiness Project website and it gave me an idea to create my own happiness commandments. I’ve been through a lot lately and I need something to make me think and realize what I need to do correctly.
This is still an on-going blog post because I know I haven’t completed my list yet. So here it is, my happiness commandments…
- Be kind in words and actions.
- Stay calm.
- Think before acting and speaking.
- Reminisce on the past but do not relive it again.
- Stop over-thinking and over-planning.
- Be healthy.
- Always remember that there is karma.
- Stop searching about illnesses to complicate things more.
- Pray.
- Take time to admire the beauty of everything.
- Make a decision and stick to it until the end.
- Love is and will only be the answer.
I’m not sure if this will be my final list of happiness commandments. I may add more. I may remove some. But as of the moment, this is what I think will define the new me. I will tell others to create their own happiness commandments as well. It will definitely be different from my commandments but I or we can still learn from it.
