Pinas, Here We Come

I scheduled our flight back to Manila to prepare for my delivery to September 8, 2012. I used up all my annual leaves from work first and the start of my maternity leave will be on the 24th of September.

Doms and I opted to use Philippine Airlines since Singapore Airlines was so expensive. I was not allowed to travel using Cebu Pacific and Jetstar because I am currently 33 weeks preggy. There are certain airline regulations for pregnant women.

Anyway, before our flight, Doms tried his luck with this betting game but he didn’t win anything.

The 3 and half hour flight was a breeze! The food was great! Our seats were comfy too. Doms wanted to trade my seat to the “Ang Mho” who was seated in the aisle so that it will be easy for me to go to the toilet. But the dude upgraded so it was nice and we had the whole row to ourselves.

My Dad was the one who got us from the airport. We passed by Jollibee for take-away breakfast then went home. We did a lot of activities in the short time Doms was here in Manila.

For his last day before flying back to Singapore, we ate dinner at Blackbeard Seafood Island, Trinoma. This was our food.

It was kind of a ri-off for me. My total bill was 2,100 PHP and the food was just simple. We should have just ate in Mann Hann.

Anyway, I wasn’t able to take a lot pf photos.

29 Years and Counting

July 4. Yep, I’m 29 years old already. Come to think of it, I’m almost 30!

I’m happy I’ve accomplished the things I want to accomplish. I’m married to a loving, caring and happy person and we are expecting our first baby. I’m working in a good company, I have great friends and family and I in general, I get the things that I want and almost all of the things that I pray for.

We celebrated my birthday with Spaghetti, Pizza Bread and Chocolate Cake. It wasn’t a lot but it was great. I was with Doms and we were just laughing and talking about things: our future and our baby.

Awfully Chocolate Cake That Doms gave me

Doms gave me a sweet, sweet card and I cried when I read it. I love him so much! He’s the best person that I have in my life.

At work, my friend Efren gave me a slice of Red Velvet Cake that was really good!

Being 29 isn’t so bad after all. When I was little, I imagined myself as an Editor in chief of a magazine with a thriving career. I’m not like that now but I am more.

Drafting My Christmas Wish List

It’s the 1st day of December and I can’t help but think of I want for Christmas. I’m excited on my way to work because I’m thinking of what we are going to do in the coming holidays. There’s this annual “Simbang Gabi” here in Singapore that I really wish we should finish from start to end. (Click here for the Singapore 2011 Simbang Gabi Schedule). Then the plan of spending Noche Buena in Efren’s place also makes me excited!

Going back, well, the things I want are not all material things. At the top of my head my first wish is for me and Doms to have a great 2012. Good health and more blessings are what I really want.

Then comes the wish about our home in Manila. I really wish that we can finally start building it already. Then comes the wish for us to have a baby. We’ve been married for almost 1 year already and I think it’s high time we start getting jiggy with it and have a baby.

Then the material things will come next. These material things are just “add-ons” to what I really want. Additional blessings as they say.

Anyway, first on my material list wish list is a Macbook Pro. I’ve been planning to buy this for 2 years now and I think it’s high time I buy a new laptop.

Second on my list is a new Canon Camera Lens. I’ve been longing to have a zoom lens that will accompany my red 1100D.

Third is a new bag either from Gucci or LV. Haha! I don’t like bags so much but since this is just a wish list, why not add it here?!?!

Last but not the least is a 500SGD worth of shopping spree!!! Yes! I like cash too! I can finally complete my office wardrobe and some shoes will be nice too!!!

So that’s it! My Christmas wish list in the flesh. I hope my husband reads this blog post. I will tag his name just in case!

Goodbye Biba

The month of November is really a whirlwind of surprises for me and my family. My grandmother passed away last 9 November 2011.

She was in and out of the hospital since July and the months after was just too hard for her and the family.

Here are some of the photos during her wake and funeral:

Bye Biba! Thank you for all the memories! I know you are with Lolo now. Guide us always and watch over us. We love you!
