Mommy Porkee’s (Proposed) Face, Bath and Body Regimen

Every girl should have a beauty regimen. This has been my goal ever since I started working here in Singapore. I wanted to start a beauty regimen and stick to it until all the bottles are done. The main importance of having a beauty regimen is to develop and protect our skin with the natural course of nature, i.e. aging.

My current regimen only includes drugstore (read: Nivea) facial wash, toner and facial cream. Then, I just whip up my body with the Block and White Lotion that I bought from the Philippines. Nothing’s wrong with this regimen, really. I’m very busy and I have a lot of things in mind. But, reading beauty blogs and write-ups made me realize that I need to do more to take care of my skin for the future. So, here are the products that I will be buying this weekend, if everything goes well.

Face

Since I still have a good amount of my Nivea products, I will just stick to it. But I need to do it religiously. For example, I need to scrub my face with the facial wash more often (morning and night) and do the scrubbing leisurely. Second, I need to apply the Nivea toner and make sure that all the areas are toned. Thirdly, I need to massage my face with the moisturizer and make sure that I have applied enough moisturizer in all the aspects of my face.

Bath and Body

I came across this website that sells products that are smelling good and fresh. http://www.lemongrasshouse.com.sg/ Their limited edition Renee’s line caught my attention. So, I wanted to buy and try out the following products:

Renee’s Limited Edition Body Cream from Lemongrass House 20SGD

I saw in Renee’s Blog that Body Creams should be applied right after shower and pat drying your skin so that the skin could absorb the nutrients of the cream as well as the fragrance. I’ll surely do this!

I’ll start my shower with this shower gel to compliment the body cream. I really hope this works and this restore the moisture of my skin.

If budget permits, I will also purchase the Salt Scrub so that the skin irritations in my arms will disappear! I hate it so much!

For office hours or in between hydration of my skin, I will use my current Block and White or Belo Lotions so that it won’t go to waste.

I really wish that I can accomplish and finish this regimen that I want to try. I also hope that it will be helpful to my skin.

Smell Good Yah?

My 2012 is geared towards being healthy, losing weight, being physically fit and having a good and healthy life. In line with this, I will also try to de-stress my life, start making myself feel good, making myself up and making sure that I smell good.

So, I bought 2 new fragrances that will surely make my 2012 really smell good.

Lanvin Eclat 50ml (36SGD) and Lancome Tresor 100ml (110SGD)

Among these two fragrances, I like the smell of Lanvin Eclat more. Good thing Efren made me buy it during our company Christmas Bazaar because I love it so much. It has a powdery smell that makes me feel refreshed and fragrant.

I’m not into heavy perfumes but I want a smell that lasts long. I usually just wear Johnson’s Baby Cologne or Victoria’s Secret Body Mist but they always wear out at the end of the day.

So, making sure that I smell good entails buying EDPs or Eau De Parfum  instead of just colognes.

Lancome’s Tresor In Love smells much more sophisticated and classy. It smells so girly and I like it so much I even joked the sales lady about the package and freebies.

Anyway, I never leave without any of these perfumes with me. You’ll never know you’ll need it. Once I’m finished with these bottles I try other perfumes in the market that I like.

My Sticker Nails

Sephora offers a new innovation in nail art. Well, I’m not sure if this is new but I just saw it recently while shopping in Sephora, ION.

The Sephora Nail Patch Art is very easy to use. You just need to match the sticker with your nail size, peel of the back part and stick it to your nails. Apply heat and pressure to “melt” the nail art patch. Viola! You now have your professional looking nail art!

The Sephora Nail Patch Art costs 16SGD. For better and longer lasting effect of the nail patch, add top coat to the patch.

My First Groupon Singapore Purchase

OK, I know I has a blog talking about purchasing sites here in Singapore. I was so excited about those sites that I was not able to purchase anything yet, until now.

My first purchase was a threading session with Browhaus.

I’ve been waiting for this type of deal for ages! Good thing I saw it today. My voucher hasn’t arrived yet but I am so excited already! At least I will have tame and nicely arced brows for my birthday. Hooray!

Moringa All the Way

Doms is really fascinated with the scent of Moringa. He bought 2 bottles of Moringa Foaming Wash from Body Shop. He said he will use it because he loves the smell.

I believe his fascination started when we were in Body Shop and I was buying creams for my face. I love Body Shop products because it all looks and smells fresh. Anyway, he was looking around for his Ginger Shampoo when he passed by the “soap” section. I remember him smelling all the soaps in the basket and holding on to one yellow soap and comparing the smell of that yellow soap with the rest. So, I didn’t mind him. When I was on queue to pay for my creams, he approached me and handed me the ginger shampoo and the yellow soap that he was smelling. He said he wanted that soap. I smelled it and it smelled like the refreshing smell of “sampaguita” or jasmine. He insisted I buy it even if I told him that we still have Safeguard at home. So, I did buy it.

I love Doms’ smell after he showers! Moringa really works for him! So, from then on I made sure that I buy him that soap. He loves that product too that’s why you wouldn’t imagine how happy he was when he saw the Moringa Foaming Wash on sale yesterday. I also bought the Moringa Milk Moisturung Lotion so that I will really smell like a Moringa, haha!

So, it seems that it will be Moringa ll the way for us!
