When Doms first told me that he saw how the Xbox Kinect works, I already felt that one way or another we will be buying this gadget. There was a twinkle in his eyes while describing how awesome the sensor of Kinect is. He was even doing dome hand  gestures and actions while “sales talking” me.

So, I agreed to buy it.

But, buying Kinect means buying the whole Xbox console! So, right after the wedding, with the ectra money that we have, we bought the Xbox 360 with Kinect Package.The package costs 467 SGD and includes the Kinect Adventures Game, the Xbox 360 4GB console, wireless controller and the Kinect.

Setting up was not that easy. We need to buy another HDMI cable because we have a PS3 too and only one TV so we need to accommodate both consoles. We also need to re-arrange our furniture inside our room because there’s a specific range in using the Kinect device. You cannot be either to close to the sensor or to far. You need to calibrate the spcae or the game area using the cute calibration that came in with the game. this calibration calculates the space where the players can play.

Once installed, and after moving our furniture, Doms and I readily started to play Kinect Adventures.

It was so fun! There was a lot of dodging, bending and reaching in the games included in the Kinect Adventures game. It was tiring and exhasuting but it was really fun!

When we had our Chinese New Year dinner with our neighbors in the condo, Doms setup the game and everyone enjoyed playing it!

Last week, we bought another game, Dance Central which was more fun that Adventures. I have planted a video of me dancing to the Tune of Poker Face in Dance Central somewhere in one of my accounts in the internet.

I really love this purchase! The game allows me to exercise and have fun at the same time. It’s worth the money if you enjoy games that are for kids.
