It’s our second time to attend the Singapore Night Race last 23 to 25 September 2011. Naturally we were excited. Doms was lucky to be handed with a lot of tickets from his office.

We initially planned to watch the Friday practice race and the Sunday race.

The Friday practice race day came and it was a good thing Doms and I were able to go out from work early. We met in City Hall then went inside the Marina Bay Race Circuit early so we can have good place to stand.

Padang Stage Where Charice will perform

Aside from the race itself, the whole weekend of F1 here in SG entails performances from various artists from different countries. Performers include Charice, Linking Park, Shakira, Shaggy and Rck Astley among others.

There were food and race merchandise all over the circuit for people to buy souvenirs from. We ate in this Mexican food stall which was just OK. I should have just bought burgers instead.

There was also an area for eating which was near the Padang Stage so people can still hear the performers and the race itself.

When the practice race started, people flocked to the turns to get a good view of the F1 cars. There were a lot of people but it made the experience more fun!

We really enjoyed our F1 experience. I hope that next year, we can get free tickets also. I also hope that next year, I can bring my family here during this time so they can experience the race too!
