Gourmet Pizza Time

Last night, my dinner was inspired by pizzas from different Italian restos here in SG.

20110930-083420.jpgI layered together the crusted pita bread, mozzarella cheese, fresh tomatoes, sliced basil leaves and topped it with oregano.

20110930-083656.jpgI baked my home made pizza for 7 minutes in 200 C. I loved it! Feels like I ate out for dinner! I even bought a new bottle of Tabasco Sauce just to complete my meal.

20110930-083813.jpgDoms wasn’t able to taste my home made pizza because he was busy finishing up my yummy pork chop recipe too. Since, I’m on the quest of eliminating rice from my dinners, the food that we ate last night were different.

I will post my pork chop recipe taken from Efren in my next blogs!

Living Room Mood Board 1

I am again feeling overly excited about our future home. Every time I get a message from my mom about the progress of our “future home” plans, I immediately leap for joy and start searching for house designs and contractors.

Right now, I’m feeling good about a yellow and green motif in our white living room. It will make the sala look refreshing and light!

So, I created a Mood Board for my yellow and green sala. Here it is:

I really like to have a white couch in our living room. The sofa should be soft and fluffy so that it will be comfortable for us to sit in it. Then, I’ll accent one side of our living room wall with lots and lots of white frames with pictures of me and Doms, and of course our family, and other sayings in frame that I will ask Doms to do.

Our pillows and throws will have shades of yellow, mustard, lime green, light blue and white. I’ll add in yellow vases too with fresh plants or flowers.

I also like our living room to have a big white mirror! And I’ll throw in lamps and white storage areas. In front of the couch will be our LED TV. Haha! I love imagining!

Our center table will have clear vases with yellow ornaments that will complement the rest of the sala. The last time Doms and I were in IKEA, he spent time in the lighting section. Then, he told me that he likes our future home, specially our sala, to have good lighting. So, it’s essential to have nice lights and lamps in my mood board above.

God, I  really wish that all these can be attained! I like the idea of me and Doms having a cozy sala so we can spend time there together.

Our Singapore F1 Experience 2011

It’s our second time to attend the Singapore Night Race last 23 to 25 September 2011. Naturally we were excited. Doms was lucky to be handed with a lot of tickets from his office.

We initially planned to watch the Friday practice race and the Sunday race.

Our Wonderful tickets for the Friday Practice Race

The Friday practice race day came and it was a good thing Doms and I were able to go out from work early. We met in City Hall then went inside the Marina Bay Race Circuit early so we can have good place to stand.

Padang Stage Where Charice will perform

Aside from the race itself, the whole weekend of F1 here in SG entails performances from various artists from different countries. Performers include Charice, Linking Park, Shakira, Shaggy and Rck Astley among others.

20110929-093759.jpgThere were food and race merchandise all over the circuit for people to buy souvenirs from. We ate in this Mexican food stall which was just OK. I should have just bought burgers instead.

20110929-093903.jpgThere was also an area for eating which was near the Padang Stage so people can still hear the performers and the race itself.

20110929-093925.jpgWhen the practice race started, people flocked to the turns to get a good view of the F1 cars. There were a lot of people but it made the experience more fun!

20110929-093952.jpgWe really enjoyed our F1 experience. I hope that next year, we can get free tickets also. I also hope that next year, I can bring my family here during this time so they can experience the race too!

Hari Raya Office Celebration

Since I am working in a diverse company, different events and cultural traditions are being celebrated. Last week, our company celebrated the Hari Raya.

I was one of the people who designed and decorated our company hall. I am part of the Beanies Committee, the group in charge of festivities and activities for employees.

20110926-134617.jpgThis is the area where most of our company celebrations are being held.

20110926-134642.jpgAfter the short speech of the CEO, light traditional Muslim snacks where served.

20110926-134708.jpgMee Siam is one of the specialties of the afternoon. It’s like pancit bihon but spicier.

20110926-134730.jpgEverybody seemed to enjoy the afternoon.

20110926-134754.jpgI even had a picture taken in one of the decorations that we arranged.

Tomorrow is the START!

I’ve been given medication by my OB to cure my Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

2 weeks have passed but I haven’t taken it yet. All the while, I thought I need to take the medicines when I take the “other” medicine. It turns out I should have taken it immediately.

So, tomorrow I will start to drink 2 of my medicines. Drinking it not a problem. What I need to do “with” it is the one that worries me.

With the medicines that I will take, I need to watch what I am eating. I need to ingest healthy and nutritious food. I need to avoid sweets and salty food as well. I also need to exercise and run. For short, I need to be healthy because the medicines wouldn’t work by itself.

I’m really praying and hoping that I can do this. I really do not have the discipline to finish what I usually start. So, for the sake of my health and out future baby, I need to discipline myself and really commit to this schedule.

With this effort, I hope that we can really achieve what we want.

So help me God.
