Fruit Salad Craving

For people who haven’t been here in Singapore, the only place that you can consider as “Pinoy Mall” is located in the heart of Orchard City and this place is called Lucky Plaza.

Lucky Plaza is where most Filipinos here in Signapore go to send money to the Philippines. There are a lot of remittance centers there like BTI Money Transfer, MetroRemit and PNB. When I send money to the Philippines, I use BTI because it goes directly to my dad’s Banco de Oro ATM or account.

Aside from remittance centers, Lucky Plaza also houses hundreds of Filipino restos. From the famous “Jologs” resto that serves tapsilog, longsilog, hamsilog and sisiglog to Kabayan resto and JolliV that serves all types of Pinoy food.

Lucky Plaza also has mini groceries and stalls that sells pinoy items and ingredients like sinigang mix, belo products, patis, suka and atchuete for kare kare. They also sell Nestle Cream in can and All Purpose Cream in carton.

SEGWAY

As in WALANG Nestle All Purpose Cream sa mga groceries dito sa SG. Puro whip cream at kung may cream naman sila, walang lasa at malabnaw!

So, the other day, when I sent money to the Philippines for my mom’s birthday gift, father’s day gift and st. anthony anniversary contribution, I visited one of the stalls there and saw piles and piles of Nestle All Purpose Cream. I suddenly had the craving for home-made fruit salad. The kind that I make when I was still in the Philippines. I bought a carton of the cream because I remembered I had fruit cocktail at home.

I was very excited because my craving will be satisfied. The end product tasted the way I want it and I was really proud of my fruit salad. I added condensed milk and cheese by the way.

My Personality Based From My Birth Month

I tried this quiz in Facebook and I kinda relate to the results of the quiz. Since my birthday is July, here are the results of the quiz:

Red Roses for a Blue Lady

I know this may sound corny but I’ve been watching this tele-serye every night. I’m not sure what time this is shown in the Philippines but here in Singapore, it’s around 9:30 or 10:00 pm.

I like the plot of the story starring John Prats and Denise Laurel. John being the funny and over confident and conceited guy while Denise is the mysterious, heart broken, wierd and artistic girl. I like the way John acts his character. He is so funny and both of them compliments each other.

SEGWAY TOPIC, AGAIN

Doms and I are getting ready to move out already. We started packing our things last night with the boxes that I got here in the office. I’m thinking we need 1 more box but I’m not sure how I can bring this box at home. I hope auntie will allow me to get one more box so we can fit all our things there.

The first box that we filled last night has all our toiletries. We will be fitting the rest of our bathrrom stuff currently in our bathroom later. I am planning to put in the other extra box all our food items including plates galsses, pots and pans. In the box that I will ask auntie later, we might put all our other stuff including papers, hangers, and what ever we can think of placing there.

To be honest, I’m really excited about our new place. I know everything will be OK and I know that this transfer is a good start for us. This is the big break that we are waiting for and I know that Doms and I will be happy here.

I will be posting pictures of the room and our new home and the surroundings this weekend.

Sleepless Night

I had trouble sleeping last night and I really don’t know why. As early as 10:00pm, Doms and I were ready to sleep already. It was very cold last night because it rained hard the whole afternoon.

I can’t stop thinking of the things to come and the problems that we have. I tried clearing my mind and I got my iPod and searched for a movie to watch. I chose Sex and the City but ended it just after Carrie’s wedding shoot in Vogue magazine. I wanted a feel good movie and I can’t find it in my iPod. So, I opened the TV and clicked 80, my favorite channel, E! Entertainment Chanel. The show was about Heidi Klum and how she became famous. I didn’t finish watching the show and I tunred the TV off. I just lay down staring at the ceiling wondering what will happened to me and my future.

Then, my eyes got tired and eventually my mind got tired of thinking and I felt sleepy. Just before totally closing my eyes, I glanced at the digital clock from our digital box and it read 1:10 am. Great! I was staring at the ceiling for 2 hours. What a waste of time!

Really Addicted With Restaurant City

OK, Doms and I are officially addicted with Restaurant City. For those of you who don’t know, Restaurant City is an application in Facebook. It’s a game where you design and build your own restaurant and you employ your other facebook contacts either as a cook, waiter or a cleaner. It’s really a hassle free game. You just have to make sure that your employees are well fed or rested so they can perform their duties fast.

Another thing that makes this game fun is the menu and ingredients trading. You have to collect different ingredients from your friends/contacts either by trading with them or by visiting their resto for the first time. As you collect ingredients, your menu levels up and the points the customer gives your food and resto increases.

I’m sharing with you what my restaurant looks like. Here are the pictures:
