For people who haven’t been here in Singapore, the only place that you can consider as “Pinoy Mall” is located in the heart of Orchard City and this place is called Lucky Plaza.
Lucky Plaza is where most Filipinos here in Signapore go to send money to the Philippines. There are a lot of remittance centers there like BTI Money Transfer, MetroRemit and PNB. When I send money to the Philippines, I use BTI because it goes directly to my dad’s Banco de Oro ATM or account.
Aside from remittance centers, Lucky Plaza also houses hundreds of Filipino restos. From the famous “Jologs” resto that serves tapsilog, longsilog, hamsilog and sisiglog to Kabayan resto and JolliV that serves all types of Pinoy food.
Lucky Plaza also has mini groceries and stalls that sells pinoy items and ingredients like sinigang mix, belo products, patis, suka and atchuete for kare kare. They also sell Nestle Cream in can and All Purpose Cream in carton.

SEGWAY
As in WALANG Nestle All Purpose Cream sa mga groceries dito sa SG. Puro whip cream at kung may cream naman sila, walang lasa at malabnaw!
So, the other day, when I sent money to the Philippines for my mom’s birthday gift, father’s day gift and st. anthony anniversary contribution, I visited one of the stalls there and saw piles and piles of Nestle All Purpose Cream. I suddenly had the craving for home-made fruit salad. The kind that I make when I was still in the Philippines. I bought a carton of the cream because I remembered I had fruit cocktail at home.
I was very excited because my craving will be satisfied. The end product tasted the way I want it and I was really proud of my fruit salad. I added condensed milk and cheese by the way.
