I never really thought that this flu can get into everyones minds. I thought that this can be resolved and can be avoided in an instant. But no!
My office sent out at least 5 emails about this flu virus. Well, it’s a good thing they are all updating us about this, at least we are aware.
Here are some of the things that I’ve researched about Swine Flu. This was taken from different websites like the Ministry of Health in Singapore and Singapore News.
UPDATE
There currently no cases of Swine flu in Singapore but the country has stepped up a series of precautionary measures to fight the spread of the flu.
According to official data, as of Wednesday, there have been 17 cases in total referred for medical assessment in Singapore, and 14 of them have tested negative for H1N1 viruses, three people are undergoing further tests to see if they are suffering from a common strain of influenza or an unknown strain.
FACTS ABOUT SWINE FLU
This flu is caused by a reassortant swine influenza A (H1N1) virus with gene segments from swine, avian and human strains.
Swine flu’s infectious period is at the start and development of the symptoms.
