
In preparation for our Singapore Adventure on January 2009, Doms and I decided to enroll for courses that we know will help us in our job hunt. So, when I learned about the courses offered by De Lasalle University in Taft, we immediately enrolled for the class that we want.
Doms choose the Desktop Publishing using Photoshop course. Even if he knows the ins and outs of Photoshop CS2 already, he still enrolled for this. Below is the course description and price:
Desktop Publishing using Photoshop
Duration: 30 hrs | Php 6,300
Desktop Publishing (DTP) incorporates pictures, graphics and text into a single document. Page layout and digital imaging techniques will be discussed in depth. Applications include invitations, brochures, multi-column publications such as newsletters, package designs, promotional items and outdoor signs.Minimum requirement: Computer literacy
On the other hand, I enrolled for the Web Design class with Dreamweaver.
Web Design
Duration: 18 hrs | Fee: Php 4,250
This course covers the important aspects in the design of web pages using Dreamweaver. Topics include web layout and design, user interface principles, web interactivity and integration of multimedia elements. The training will be held at DLSU’s multimedia laboratory.Minimum requirement for participants: knowledge of HTML
